Volume Converter
Convert metric, cubic, US liquid, and imperial volume units with formulas and copy-ready output.
Enter a volume, choose the source and target units, and generate a copy-ready conversion. The calculation stays in your browser and uses cubic-meter relationships for metric units, exact US liquid definitions, and the standard imperial gallon definition.
Use a non-negative number. Commas as thousands separators and scientific notation are accepted.
How it works
The converter first expresses your input in cubic meters, then divides by the target unit volume. Metric milliliters, liters, cubic centimeters, and cubic meters follow exact powers of ten.
US liquid gallons use the exact 231 cubic inch definition. US teaspoons, tablespoons, fluid ounces, cups, pints, and quarts are derived from that liquid gallon. Imperial gallons use the exact 4.54609 liter definition, with imperial fluid ounces, pints, and quarts derived from it.
Use this tool for recipes, lab notes, tank estimates, classroom examples, and quick unit tables. It does not include dry measures, historical gallons, pharmacy apothecaries, or country-specific cup variants, so confirm the required definition when a regulated or safety-critical volume depends on a specific unit.
