Percentage Calculator for Percent Of, Change, and Increase
Calculate percent-of, percent-change, percent-of-total, and increase or decrease results with a clear formula breakdown.
How it works
This calculator covers the most common percentage questions: finding a percentage of a value, finding what percentage one value is of another, measuring percentage change, and applying a percentage increase or decrease.
Enter the two numbers requested by the selected calculation. The result updates in the browser and includes a short formula breakdown so you can check which values were used.
X% of Y = (X / 100) × Y
X is what percent of Y = (X / Y) × 100
Percent change = ((New − Original) / Original) × 100
Results are quick estimates based only on the numbers you enter. They do not account for taxes, fees, compounding, rounding rules, or legal requirements that may apply in a specific finance, commerce, or reporting workflow.
Examples and input notes
Use it for questions such as “What is 15% of 240?”, “18 is what percent of 72?”, “What was the percentage change from 80 to 92?”, or “What is 1,200 decreased by 12.5%?”.
Numbers may include commas and K, M, B, or T suffixes, such as 1,250, 2.5M, or 1.2B. The denominator for percent-of-total and percent-change calculations cannot be zero because the percentage would be undefined.
All calculation happens locally in your browser. The copy and download buttons use the result already shown on the page and do not send your values to a server.
