Alt Text Coverage Checker
Check pasted HTML for missing, empty, or weak image alt text.
Paste a page fragment or rendered HTML source to find images with missing alt attributes, empty alt text that may need review, and weak labels such as filenames or generic words. The check runs locally in your browser and does not upload your markup.
Use one page or component at a time. The checker reviews pasted image markup only; it cannot decide whether an image is decorative without your page context.

How to use the checker
Paste the HTML for a page, article, email, or component and choose Check alt text. Start with missing alt attributes, then review empty alt values, filenames, generic labels, and short descriptions that may not explain the image purpose.
Empty alt text can be correct for decorative images. Informative images usually need concise text that communicates the same purpose as the image in its surrounding content.
The report is a review aid, not a final accessibility decision. It cannot see the finished layout, visual content, editorial intent, or whether nearby text already provides the same information.
Your pasted HTML stays in the browser. This page does not upload markup, fetch image URLs, or call external services.
